Congrats Brandon and Stuart

On Saturday April 21st 2007 Brandon and Stuart entered the San Clemente 1st Venture Surf Contest. Brandon's 1st surf contest ever and he won 3rd place out of his age group 11-15 yrs old. He was the youngest. Stuart won 3rd place also in the longboard division. Congratulations!!!

Damon completed the Los Angeles Marathon on March 4th 2007 at the age of 11. He trained with a club from school called SRLA (Students Run LA). They ran after school 8 miles 3 times a week and long runs on Saturday for 4 months. As a club they participated in the La Puente 10K, the Cabrillo Beach 15K, the Orange County Half Marathon, and the 18 mile Friendship Run at Hansen Dam. Finally, they finished with the big LA Marathon. Damon got second in his club with a time of 5:47:07. He was privileged to run alongside his uncle Jesse, who is a very experienced runner and helped Damon keep it up. Thank you so much Jesse! We are so proud of you Damon!!!

Jingle Bell 5K in San Diego

December 9th 2006.
The Jingle Bell 5K run in Balboa Park, San Diego. Team Beck Family ran and finished together in 37:30. Uncle Jessie and Grandpa Beck joined us for the race. We made custom Beck Family T-shirts the night before and had jingle bells on our shoes. There were lots of dogs and people dressed up, wearing santa hats, and lots and lots of bells. It was fun running to the sound of hundreds of bells. What a blast!

Dana Point Turkey Trot 10K Thanksgiving morning

The Dana Point Turkey Trot on Thanskgiving morning 2007. Out of us three Damon came in first with a time of 57:28, Stuart came in second place just one second behind Damon at 57:29, and Keri for her very 1st race ever timed 1:13. It was a very fun day.

The family at Lake Tahoe August 06. Thank you Lanny for the cabin. What a great trip. We went down the lazy part of the Truckee river on our own. We also went on another rafting trip down a different part of the Truckee closer to Reno where there were more rapids. That was very exciting. I'll post a picture of that adventure when it becomes available. We went bike riding along the river and the lake. The boys especially loved horseback riding. They went swimming in the chilli waters of Tahoe Lake in Sand Harbor. We had a great time!
